Vintage Hostess: Outdoor Fall Entertaining

Every now and again, I get the urge to be a vintage hostess. AKA a hostess who is inspired by and used vintage pieces to bring the table idea to life. Our cabinets have been carefully curated with vintage and antique wears. Some passed down, others newly acquired. Our home is also a shelter for my collecting habits. Some folks collect pokemon cards, cats, sports things, coupons… I on the other hand collect silver, crystal, china, blue and white jars, and goblets. I know to some I may be crazy, but I have found a lovely community via instagram of ladies who enjoy and love these same items. Its a sigh of relief really, but they post their pictures of their lovely tables, home accents and latest finds and I truly am reminded that I am amongst friends.

I also enjoy shopping for vintage and antique items via instagram! It is amazing, because when you get the urge to shop in the middle of the night (aka after 9pm when stores are closed) you can just hop on instagram and shop their pages! Literally its amazing and dangerous. I have my top 20 stores that I shop and frequent via instagram. I have bought so many lovely items and have connected with other ladies/collectors!

On my home page I will showcase my top three favorites so you too can enjoy these amazing sellers.

For this backyard set up I was inspired to use my amber goblets. Fall months really make me want to have color on the table, before pumpkins take over! This is a scene of my backyard. I try to entertain on our back deck as often as possible. We have so much shade and space in the backyard that I try to share it with friends and family.

For this particular tablescape, I used vintage placemats (the color is out of this world fabulous), amber goblets, vintage china, and one of my champagne buckets.

Raid your cabinets (or your grandma’s) and pull out the colored goblets!! They are exactly the pop of color your table needs! Any time I am out shopping and I stumble across vintage goblets, 9 times out of 10 I buy them. I love how festive they make a table, just look at all that color!!! Thank you for reading along and I hope this post inspires you to Do It Yourself or Treat Yourself.
