29 & Feeling Fine

This year I celebrated the last of my twenties. My party celebration was filled with lovely flowers, champagne, laughter, friends, and lots vintage touches! The theme of the party was Caftans & Cocktails -essentially, it was perfect! Here is a quick recap of the amazing decorations and party set up.

My birthday is in August, and I had just taught myself how to sew in July, so I was very excited and proud to have made my birthday party dress. I have a MAJOR thing for rick rack!

In the lead up to the party, I knew I wanted to incorporate my peacock chairs and lots of my vintage entertaining pieces. Amanda, a local florist and party decorator, brought all my flower and vintage dreams to life! She did such an amazing job, I am so lucky to have met her and have her add her talents to my 29th birthday party. Amanda also runs her own fantastic blog, and is an official member of the White House Holiday Decorating Team! She has also been featured on HGTV! I was not kidding when I said she was amazing!!! She is also as sweet as pie.

She added this flower garland to my peacock chairs and I love how it turned out! I would like to take any future opportunity to use my peacock chairs- just warning y’all!

Here is another up close look at my birthday dress. Amanda had the brilliant idea to add carnations and ribbons to my giant candelabra. The poor brass candelabra has been sitting in my house waiting for its moment. Amanda certainly made it shine! I honestly wish I could keep the flowers and bows on it all the time. It was such a fun centerpiece.

My sweet friends adorned in vintage and vibrant dresses are the best. The party would not be complete without some cocktails, insert Prosecco pong! Now, I am not sure if you have ever tried to play Prosecco pong, but playing with real champagne cups is nearly impossible (take my word for it)! If you look at the photo on the left you can also see how I have transformed some vintage rattan piece into a champagne bottle holder. I have no idea what it is truly for, but a champagne bottle holder makes the most sense to me.

My birthday party was an absolute delight. I will have to start working on a fun theme for my 30th! I am so thankful for my friends who made my birthday special!! Thank you so much for reading along. I hope this post has inspired you to Do It Yourself or Treat Yourself.
