Girl Boss Q&A with Clementine Palm Beach

In celebration of Galentine’s Day, I am celebrating another woman today! As a small business owner myself, I love being able to promote another lady who is out there chasing her dreams. This interview is exciting because it is my first in the Stylin Brunette Q&A session, hoping to do a few more, and the best part…. tomorrow is the official launch of our Girl Boss’s Online Boutique. Now lets meet our Girl Boss!

I would like to formally introduce you to Adrianna, the beauty and brains behind Clementine Palm Beach.

Question: If you could, describe Clementine Palm Beach?

Answer: Clementine Palm Beach is your new shopping destination, inspired by the tropics- your escape from the ordinary. We live to celebrate, even the everyday- from having your morning coffee in a mug that makes you smile.. or finding that dress that makes you feel like you’re on vacation.

I personally hand pick every item in the store, and our collection includes clothing, jewelry, and accessories. We will be expanding to include home decor by the end of the year.

Question: Where does the name Clementine Palm Beach come from?

Answer: I wanted something that to me, evoked what summer in Florida is all about. Which for me was going to the beach with my family, eating delicious fruit, and playing in the sand.

Question: What made you want to start your own online boutique?

Answer: I have worked in retail for 5 years now, and ever since that first day I started I knew this was what I wanted to do. It took me quite some time to admit that, because a lot of people don’t enjoy retail, or look down on it. But to me, there are few things that make me happier than helping someone else feel and look their best.

Question: How old are you, and what is your biggest goal for 2019?

Answer: I turn 22 this month, and I have gotten really mixed feedback about trying to start a business on my own this young. I am trying to focus on the amazing people in my life, like my mom and my boyfriend who have been massively supportive of the time and effort I have been putting in to make my dream a reality.

Question: What is your favorite aspect about Palm Beach style?

Answer: The color! It is just so fun! Color is what fashion should be about, being our best selves and living our best lives!

Question: What is your favorite color combo?

Answer: Geez, that is a hard one! I love pink and green together, but pink and blue is a classic, and together they are beautiful as well. I think any color combo is a good one if you wear it with confidence.

Question: What city do you live in?

Answer: I live in South Florida, about 40 minutes south of Palm Beach in Hollywood. However, I love the community in Palm Beach, so that is where I am searching for a storefront.

Question: Will you have a storefront?

Answer: For the moment we are online only, with our first ever collection launching tomorrow on Valentine’s day at 10am! I hope to start hosting pop up shops around Palm Beach this year. I am also keeping an eye out for retail space in Palm Beach.

Question: What is your inspiration behind buying your pieces?

Answer: Besides loving the styles, I look for good quality and fit. It does not matter how cute your dress is if its scratchy or uncomfortable! Every piece I have purchased for the store is something I would be proud to wear.

Question: What was your favorite job leading up to being your own Girl Boss?

Answer: I have had quite a few jobs, and I have loved all of them in different things ways. Even the ones I didn’t like so much have taught me really valuable lessons, about how to run a business. They also gave me a lot of insight into what I would want to do differently with my own store.

Question: What is your biggest goal for yourself in 2019?

Answer: My goal is to make Clementine shine! It is so new but I have gotten such an amazing response already, and I am working on making this little store better every single day. I am looking forward to begging to host pop up shops and being able to connect wit the wonderful community in South Florida.

Question: What advice would you give to other women who are thinking about creating a company or business?

Answer: Just go for it! I meant it. You don’t need a ton of money and you don’t need oodles of experience. If you truly love what you do and you are willing to work on it each day with entire heart than you will win!
