Hawaiian Vacation

We just got back from the most amazing Hawaiian island, Kauai! This was my first trip to Hawaii and I can say, the bar has been set high!! The BF and I were there for six glorious days. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt and the views on the island were spectacular. We had the most perfect weather and food, and my only regret is my lack of tan. I am not going to lie the thing I miss most from the trip is the toilet. YES you read that right, the bathroom toilet.

What is so special about the bathroom toilet you may ask, well two words HEATED SEATS! Now I am back to my boring peasant toilet and its cold seats. My tush was spoiled and will forever belonging the headed toilets from our Hawaii trip.

My two favorite accessories during my whole trip were my Do Not Disturb sunglasses from Playhaus! They are the perfect pool side and beach pair of shades! Check them out to see their other fun designs, I promise you will fall in love. My other must have was my beach hat. I found this vintage hat a few months ago and I just love how Palm Beach-y it is!

I love eating fresh Ahi while we were there as well. I had never had a poke bowl, until this trip and now I am obsessed and have been looking for recommentations in my city for a good poke bowl. My tummy is currently asking for a repeat of this glorious food!

Another highlight of our trip was the helicopter tour!!! We were able to see so many lovely sights and the waterfall from the Jurassic Park movie, which was so fun! They made us wear matching black shirts so the colors we were wearing would not reflect in the glass of the helicopter when we took pictures. Get ready for landscape photos GALORE!!!! Im basically a stage mom of life, aka I take pictures of everything #noregrets

We rented a car to travel to the part of the island that had the helicopter rides.

On our way driving from the helicopter ride, we passed by the most adorable orange tree farm! Naturally, we stopped so I could take some photos. Orange you glad I stopped to capture these adorable trees?

After all the excitement of the helicopter ride and the orange tree pit stop, I was more than ready for my spa appointment. The spa at the hotel was LOVELY. IT was peaceful and the exact refresh my body needed. Each room had its own delightful enclosed patio with lovely flowers and I could hear the sound of the bird chirping as I was in there. The masseuse was so sweet, I had the hot stone massage, and I added on a honey wax scalp massage/hair mask, and a volcanic foot scrub. I was completely pampered and my body was in heaven. I highly recommend treating your self! Despite not getting a tan, we had such a lovely vacation!! Spent lots of time together, ate some lovely food, drank delicious cocktails, and made so many fun memories!
